8/23/2006 Ella, Here we come!As of August 22nd, we have final travel arrangements set for our trip to China to get our precious Ella Bella (our nickname for her). We leave Detroit on Thursday, September 14th at 9:20 a.m. on Contintental Airlines. We fly into Beijing on the 15th at 1:45 p.m. There are several families from our agency that will be traveling together on the flight to Beijing so it will make it nice to all be nervous and excited together. What an amazing flight that will be knowing that our girls are waiting for us and will be in our arms just a few days after we fly in.
We come back on Wednesday, September 27th (two days before my 39th birthday) at 8:02 p.m. into Detroit. We are hoping that our parents, brother, sister-in-law, nephews, sister, and brother in law are there to greet us as we come out with Ella in our arms. What a wonderful time that will be celebrating with them! We are so very excited and anxious to meet Ella and cannot wait to share her with family and friends.
Please follow our journey as we will post every day from China and will definitely have updated pictures of Ella and China every day. Thank you so much everyone for all your love and support over the last 18 months. It has been more important to us than you could possibly ever know.

Randy and Teresa 8/18/2006 TA's Have Arrived~We got word today that our Travel Approval has arrived! This means that we have got approval from China to travel to bring Ella home. We are tentatively supposed to be leaving for China on September 14th ( a mere 3 1/2 weeks away) and coming back sometime between the 27th and the 30th. What an awesome birthday present for the new Mama, huh? (My birthday is the 29th). We are ecstatic and overjoyed at the way things are just moving along so smoothly. We are amazed that TA's came out this fast as they normally take 6-7 weeks to arrive. Looks like I'll be spending the rest of my summer getting ready to travel to China and getting a brand new classroom ready to hand off to a sub for a month or so.
We'll post more as we get more updated info. about our travel dates and itinerary. Talk to you all soon.
Teresa (Mama)  8/3/2006 I'm a Dad!!The last few days have been wonderful! I'm finally a dad!! From the moment I saw Ella's pictures, I melted inside. She is what I pictured in my dreams. What a precious little angel! I just can't wait to pick her up and hold her in my arms for the first time. Our travel date can't come soon enough!!
